Villamartin was founded in 1972 and is located near the Costa Blanca's Orihuela. Host to the Mediterranean open in 1994 it is undoubtedly one of the most well known golf courses in this area of Spain. It is a well designed 18 hole course which is sits mid range in difficulty and is approximately 6,132 metres with a 72 par.

Villamartin Golf Club has its own own clubhouse, pro shop, cafe, restaurant, swimming pool and even currency exchange. Other golfing facilities include a driving range, putting green, chipping green and practice area. You can also hire clubs, trolleys or buggies and practice balls.

Further south still, towards Torrevieja, the mountainous Club de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela presents a test for even the most accurate golfer, with rocks, ravines and numerous water hazards to negotiate on its 18-hole, par 72, course. Once again, there is plenty of rental accommodation to choose from in the area, often within 15 minutes` drive of Club de Golf Las Ramblas de Orihuela. Two-bedroom apartments, furnished to a high standard, with fully-fitted kitchens, ceiling fans, etc. and access to a swimming pool, are available from as little as £200 per week during peak season.

The Real Campoamor Golf Club opened in 1989 on the southern Costa Blanca and is built on a the grounds of a former country estate. It was originally designed by Carmelo Gracias Caselles to make the most of the unusual landscape surrounding the estate.

The 18 holes run between two connected valleys which help to make it one of the the most panoramic of the golf courses in the region. The expansive fairways, excellent greens and the lakes deceive the player somewhat, making this is a long and testing course to keep you on your toes.

The Real Campoamor Golf Club is is a good all round course for both the professional and the amateur player alike, 18 hole 6,203 metre long course with a par of 72 and it benefits from the usual golfing facilities you would expect from a club of this type including, club and buggy hire, practice balls, golf lessons, pro shop and new hotel and sport complex.

Within 15 minute drive you have La Finca (Algorfa) golf club is located at the base of Mount Escotera in the Alicante region. The course benefits from spectacular views. La Finca golf club was designed to host top golfing tournaments and a new 5***** hotel was opened in 2010 to cater for this.

La Finca has a diversity of greens of all sizes that make it one of the top courses on the Costa Blanca. The present length is 6,394 metres with a 72 par but there are future plans to make this a 54-hole complex made up of 3 different golf courses to give you even greater variety.

The greens must be seen to be believed, undulating and different shapes, but true. There is also a good club house, a golf shop which hires out golfing equipment, a driving range, putting greens, chipping area and a practice bunker.

La Marquesa Golf Club which was designed by Justo Quesada Samper and opened in 1989. It is located on the urbanisation of Quesada. La Marquesa Golf Club is supposed to be a reasonably straight forward course for intermediate players as it sits between the mountains in a flat valley. It is an 18 hole course which is 5840 metres in length and par 72.

It has the infrastructure necessary to ensure that visitors will enjoy a relaxing and comfortable stay. The region combines a rich blend of Mediterranean and Spanish culture.
